GUEST SPEAKERS : Liss Cooke, Joab Stewart and Holly Novak

Liss Cooke, Liss Cooke Embroidery won the Young Creative Award for Fashion & Textiles (19-24 age group) in 2018, whilst completing her MA in Textile Design Innovation at NTU.

Joab Stewart , STEPS. Professional trainer restoration

Holly Novak, The Hungry Ghost a textile brand aiming to translate narratives through sensory and sculptural knitted textiles. Blurring the line between conceptual artwork displayed as an installation, and functional items that could be placed in the home. Creating feelings of joy and comfort is at the forefront of everything The Hungry Ghost makes, considering how people interact with colour and texture within their lives.

After the presentations, Erica Horne, CAD for Fashion, and Abi Rose will be hosting a free advice surgery.

The Big House is a business support programme aimed at Creative & Digital entrepreneurs & businesses. We enrol individuals & businesses from the age of 16 so long as they work in the CDI sectors and are based in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire.
