Using native tree names, explorers will immortalise their leaves in leaf-print bunting and capture their bark and seeds in plaster of Paris. Learn to write acrostic poems in twigs and paints, bringing the wild words back to life. Make brand new paints using natural materials such as stone and charcoal, ground down to powder. Design and make jewellery from a range of natural materials and copper, capturing some of nature’s curves and patterns. Dress for an outdoor adventure and bring a packed lunch!
This workshop is part of the Artsreach Creative Summer Programme for Children, themed on Robert Macfarlane's book 'The Lost Words', and is suitable for ages 5+

Artsreach Dorset
Artsreach is a registered charity that brings high quality performances of live theatre, music, dance and family shows to the heart of rural communities across Dorset.
Artsreach is dedicated to providing people in rural areas with the opportunity to choose and promote professional arts events in their local venue.
Our performance programme runs through a network of around 50 volunteer promoting groups and together we organise over 140 high quality professional events every year, usually in village halls, right across rural Dorset.
Not only do our events provide the opportunity to enjoy high quality arts on your doorstep, they are also a great social occasion!
The income generated from audience members purchasing tickets plays a vital role in supporting both Artsreach as a scheme, and the community venues in which events take place, as event box offices are split between both parties.
We are an Artsmark Supporter and Arts Award Partner - do get in touch to find out how we can work together!
