Etruscan tomb paintings and items left in the tombs provide us with abundant evidence for the serving of food and wine in a funerary context.

In this lecture, Lisa Pieraccini, Project Director, Center for the Study of Ancient Italy at the University of California, Berkeley, looks at the close links in Etruria between food, death and collective memory, never fully explored until now.
