Scandinight: Trollhunter

About this event

Starts: Friday 13 May 2016 (All day)

Ends: Friday 13 May 2016 (All day)

At: Gallery Road, London, SE21 7AD, London, England

Join breakthrough music acts Siv Jakobsen, EERA and more for a night of live music, outdoor cinema, food, drink and art.

Performances by the three acts will be followed by an outdoor screening of cult Norwegian film, Trollhunter (2010, certificate 15 ), winner of the public choice at the Norwegian International Film Festival and featuring the dark landscape of Western Norway that dominates Nikolai Astrup’s work.

7pm - 8.45pm: LIVE MUSIC

Siv Jakobsen:

"Utterly Stunning." - Amazing Radio

"With each passing listen, we find ourselves falling deeper and deeper with Siv Jakobsen." - Daytrotter for Paste Magazine

"...so intimate at times, it feels like she’s right there in the room with you." - Ja Ja Ja Music

Siv’s music is beautifully mellow, much like diary-entries - filled with unfiltered thoughts and reflections. With strong references to Laura Marling and Ane Brun, listening to her music is like being a fly on the wall while she sings you her secrets.

EERA:

“A dark, deep, spiraling piece of pop from newcomer, EERA” – BBC Radio 6music, Lauren Laverne

Introducing EERA – the musical meanderings of Norwegian-via-London songsmith Anna Lena Bruland.

9pm: OUTDOOR CINEMA

Trollhunter (2010), PG

A group of students investigates a series of mysterious bear killings, but learns that there are much more dangerous things going on. They start to follow a mysterious hunter, learning that he is actually a troll hunter.
