Little Fish Theatre Company will visit Central Library Bexleyheath with an interactive performance workshop for young people. Parents and carers are encouraged to watch together. The performance will explore a broad spectrum of issues relevant to Personal, Social and Health for 10-12 year olds. Through music, imagery, poetry and storytelling, the production will challenge the audience to look at themselves and the choices they make. The play is interactive and engages the audience in a debate on a number of issues including: friendships and family relationships, personal safety, peer pressure, smoking and alcohol use. These issues are explored from both the perspectives of young people and their parents. We aim to encourage communication and decision making skills for all the participants within a safe and engaging structure. There is no bad language, but the production does refer to drugs, smoking and alcohol.
Through engaging in the workshop, the young people will also explore the wide range of art forms around them, and complete their Arts Award Discover awarded by Trinity College London. www.artsaward.org.uk
