Ranked as one of the top 10 stand-up comedians in Britain by The Independent and due to the hugely popular sold-out 2022 Ed Fringe show, Ian Stone will be back with an even bigger, better and funnier performance at this year’s Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August. Performing in the Ballroom at the Counting House at 4pm* every day from 3-27th August, audiences will be cackling off their chair at this money can’t buy experience. Ultimately, Ian is on a mission to solve all the worlds many problems with an hour of finely crafted comedy **.

With a variety of nominations including BEST SHOW at the Leicester Comedy Festival, Ian Stone is one of the most talented and topical acts in the UK. He was awarded Comedians Comedian of the year in 2017. Stone has landed international performances all over the world including Comedy Festivals in Australia, New Zealand and  South AfricaHe’s entertained the troops Afghanistan. He was the first British stand-up to perform in Moscow and the first performer to appear for The Comedy Store in Mumbai.

Ian presents The Football’s On, a hugely popular TV show on BTSport with A list guests including Alan Davies, Dara O’Briain, Mickey Flanagan, David Baddiel and Sean Lock. Other TV appearances include Mock The Week (BBC 2), The World Stands Up (Paramount Comedy 2005), The Comedy Store (C5) and Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC 2).

Ian is a huge Arsenal fan and presents Handbrake Off the Arsenal podcast for The Athletic sports website. With over a million downloads, it’s one of the most popular Premier league club podcasts around the world. Ian was also one of the founder members of the hugely successful Arsenal podcast ‘It’s Up For Grabs Now’ latterly ‘The Tuesday Club’.

National Radio shows were a given with Ian’s talented & gifted presenting skills, with regular gigs on Radio 5 Live, Radio 4 and The Comedy Club. His Absolute Radio show with Ian Wright, Rock ’n’ Roll Football won a Sony Award and the Gold Award at the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards.

Ian released a book in 2020 called ‘To be Someone’ about Ian growing up and listening to The Jam and what life was like in the 70s in Britain.
