Changing communities with the arts
At college, I recently took part in an Arts in the Community project with Manchester Camerata. I didn't know what to expect, but after taking part I think this way of working is a very good example of how art can change the world.

Can Visual Art Defy Society?
I know for certain that the power of the arts can rebel against the world in a variety of different ways. For instance, art in the 1990s was used to present "broken" or "grotesque" imagery which at the time reflected the economic struggles and the dissatisfied and rebellious youth at that time. But what about today in 2016? Does art of our time need to completely change our current state, or will it only encourage our demise?

Network, Collaborate & Engage
AGEAS BOWL, SOUTHAMPTON
THURSDAY 4TH FEBRUARY
They say every one has a book in them. But what if that book in your head should really be a film? And then what if you've worked out exactly where the film should be set, who should play the leading parts and you're already thinking of calling Adele to record the theme song?
Well, you'd probably be wise to get yourself along to FILM EXPO SOUTH, launching at the AGEAS Bowl conference centre on February 4th 2016. They can't promise to get you Adele's phone number but they can get you in front of film making experts to cover every angle, turning your film making dreams into a reality.

Creativity Takes Confidence
Art is all about opinion. There is no right or wrong answer. But because of this, we as artists invest so much of ourselves into our work and to show that to the world can make you feel exposed and vulnerable. It's often hard to trust your opinion, that what you're creating is of a high quality, and it takes guts to share that work with others.
