Teaching

Teaching other students about my art form.

I spent time teaching other students some photoshop basics that I had learnt over the course of Arts Award. The first one, although more graphic than concept art, still used the same techniques such as blending colour, and selecting different brushes to create different textures. I enjoyed teaching my friends as it not only allowed me to improve my technique, but it also allowed me to expand on my knowledge of concept art and the technology used to create it, especially when answering their questions. I also created a more realistic art piece with one of my friends, concentrating more on skin tone and realism. This one would most likely be more useful when creating concepts for human characters, or in the case of scientific-fi, even alien species that follow humanoid anatomy in the face.

I am 17 years old and hope to pursue Video Game Design as a career path. I hope to attend university later this year, and use my place in the game design community to inspire others as much as previous games have inspired me.

    Hey,

Luke to answer your question, I am mainly self taught. I picked up some basics in my graphics class, but most of what I know came from experimentation and hours of fiddling on photoshop.

Bhavesh, I am going to collect some more and post them here, thanks for the feedback!
