D:Ream returns with 'Meet Me At Midnight'

Don’t you love it when a song opens with a bunch of raw, clean house piano beats? Just gets you right… there. Retro but still oh-so modern, those late ‘80s/early ‘90s dance vibes that have, praise any of the lords, come right back round again - and whoever sorted that out for us needs a medal.

This is the stripped back purity running through D:Ream’s new single, ‘Meet Me At Midnight’, which dropped on 30th April. Harking back to the pulsing dance grooves that made them massive in the early 1990s, Pete Cunnah’s vocals have taken on a haunting quality, the lyrics still imbued with a timely urgency, the hook totally addictive, the house beats segueing into layered drums and synths, and the whole anthemic tune deep into our minds.

It’s a mighty tune for a mighty comeback, and bodes well for the album, Open Hearts, Open Minds that is poised to become a really big deal this summer.
