The official video for the Hilary Roberts smash pop hit ‘Good Man’ has finally dropped, and it’s the most fun we’ve had watching a music video in a long time. It’s the perfect video for International Women’s Day, championing healthy relationships and those men in our lives who treat us like the queens we are!
Starting with Roberts walking down the street and getting her taxi poached by - ugh - a man, Roberts then enters a daydream-like state, where she dreams of putting on a competition with her friends to find the Best Man. This is done via challenges such as tying kids’ shoelaces, helping old ladies across the road and a dancing round. Roberts and her friends complete the judging with scores out of ten before awarding all the competitors the prize. Couples of all shapes, sizes and sexualities are paid tribute to in the big flashmob-esque group dance at the video’s end.
It’s exactly what we need this March to brush off the last of the wintery cobwebs as we begin to see the sunshine, and to celebrate International Women’s Day with a proper pop banger, one which sees Hilary Roberts making everyone laugh, including herself, truly at the top of her game!
