My chosen arts challenge
For my arts challenge I have chosen singing. I already do singing outside of school and I am doing Grade 4 of my LCM exams. I have received good results and really enjoy it so I would like to see how far I can develop it.
Firstly, I am continuing regular singing lessons to improve as far as I can. Also, to gain as much practice as possible, I am playing Tracy in Hairspray Jr at a drama club outside of school- which requires a lot of singing. In addition, I am singing a song in a school performance (paired with Worksop college) as my final contribution to my arts challenge. This performance is on the 19th March 2020 where we will have an early performance within our school, to the other year groups, and then an evening performance for parents and people within the community. The show is based on issues that face us in everyday life so we chose the theme of social media. It displays the effect and harm of cyber-bullying, body image and body dysmorphia through dance, theatre and combined arts.
To ensure nothing gets in my way, I take care of my voice so I can practice as much as possible and I have a very supportive family. Of all the creative activities I enjoy, singing would have to be my favourite and the thing I would like to pursue in the future. It is something I feel very passionate about and will not give up on until I am where I want to be.
I can't wait to keep updating and to share my trinity arts journey with you.
