It’s finally December! My favourite time of year is here which means it’s time to take a break from songwriting and rehearsals and spend this time with the people who matter the most.
I’m a big believer in following along the wheel of the year, and winter is the perfect time to take a step back from all your responsibilities and productivity and use the colder months as a time to be introverted and reflect on what you have achieved over the past twelve months, as well as what your hopes are for the year that lies ahead.
I personally use the time off that I have over the holiday season to spend time with my nearest and dearest, as well as with myself - meditating and writing down my goals for the coming year.
Of course, it’s not all about introspection! I love a New Year’s Eve party just as much as the next girl, and I have my sparkly dresses all ready for the party season! I love buying presents as well - I think it’s a good time of year to really think about the other people in your life and what they would appreciate this gift-giving season. But don’t waste your time or money buying tat, make sure it’s something they would really appreciate or use…
Wrap up, put your playlists on and pour some mulled wine - I’ll see you by the fireplace!
