Rapunzel Review.

A review about Rapunzel that show in Stratford Theatre Royal from Mon 27th Nov 2017 - Sat 13th Jan 2018.

Rapunzel Review.

The Rapunzel is a good panto because the story is like a crossover between this and Goldilocks story where they both meet each other for the first time in the tower. The dynamite effect is very cool because they use the sound effect to make it explosive from the rusting oil barrel and a lot of flash effect. The costume is good and when they were in the dark light, their clothes are bright.

Raj Bajaj played as Papa bear/Iggy, Michael Bertenshaw as the Wicked Witch Maddy with two character who worked for her from , Stephen Hoo as Toby/Albert Mouse, Juliet Okotie as Mama bear/Lizzy, Gemma Salter as Baby Bear, Joanne Sandi as Rapunzel, Gary Wood as Egor/Grace and Julie Yammanee as Goldilocks. There also character from bird like the parrot is on the protagonist and antagonist side. There are trees characters that dancing with Goldilocks. Goldilocks and Rapunzel parent were also in the dream.

There also singing but the character need help from the audience to grow lot of flower with four people volunteer to come on stage and join in. As a reward the character will give you a present to say thank you for helping.

Glad you got the mix of fairy-tales. I like traditional Pantomime’s but a good twist is never a bad thing.
