#HelloYellow

On World Mental Health Day, over 2,000 schools, universities and offices took part in #HelloYellow, to show children and young people they're not alone when it comes to their mental health.

#HelloYellow

On Tuesday 10th October, people all over the country dressed in yellow and took part in wellbeing activities. Many schools and offices created their own bunting out of mental health messages, advice and quotes.

Tens of thousands more people shared words of support on social media, using the #HelloYellow hashtag on twitter. These messages helped spread the word that, whatever you're going through, you can talk to someone if you're struggling to cope.

Even popular TV character Horrid Henry and his friends wore their yellow outfits for the day, while Kerrang! magazine ran interviews with musicians about mental health to support the day.

Everyone at YoungMinds would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that took part in #HelloYellow. Your tremendous efforts made the day a huge success.

1 in 10 children and young people, aged 5-16, suffer from a diagnosable mental health problem. The awareness and funds raised through #HelloYellow will help us to continue our vital work improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people across the UK.

You can still donate to YoungMinds in support of #HelloYellow, or share your own creative mental health message on Voice, or on social media, tagging @VoiceMagUK and @YoungMindsUK.
