UNIT 2: Part C&D -Young Film Academy 10 Shot Challenge.Film is Taking Shape

Discussing each shot after studying the Young Film Academy course, using my chosen storyline based on revenge and the medium of silent film, influenced by Charlie Chaplin's The Kid.

After watching Units 1,2 and 3 of the 10 Shot Challenge section of my course, my mum and I sat down and discussed what would happen in each shot of my film and how we had to include 3 x wide shots, 3 x medium shots and 4 x close up shots.

We also gathered together some of the props, I've been acquiring and making, to start thinking about how they will be used practically in each shot.

It was difficult trying to think about what type of shot to use for each one, but we got there eventually. The video explains all my workings out and we also recorded everything in the Young Film Academy 10 shot plan course notes.

It was really useful to plan just 10 shots as it made me sit and think about how the whole film will move forward, it's content and how to bring in each character.

I am very pleased that this will be a silent film, as I think it would be really messy if I was having to speak lines all the way through. It will also make the final speech with other actors more dramatic.
