Fresh off the success of her reimagined acoustic album, 'Another Side', and tours alongside legendary acts such as Will Young, Lulu, and Hue and Cry, Folk-Americana sensation Rachael Sage is set to return to the UK this May ahead of her highly anticipated new album, 'Canopy.'
In a series of intimate shows, including a special performance at The Troubadour in London on May 13th, Sage will bring her new material to life with the accompaniment of her acoustic trio, known as The Sequins. This group consists of Kelly Halloran (Lainey Wilson, Michael Franti) and rising blues-rock harmonica virtuoso Will Wilde (Walter Trout), who enhance Sage's renowned whimsical arrangements and introduce a fresh sound to her beloved brand of folk.
Across nine dates, Sage will make stops at The Great Escape, Brighton, Homlfirth, Sunderland, Scarborough, Liverpool, York, Hull and Whitchurch. Whether you're down south, up north, or somewhere in between, there's an opportunity for anyone to brighten up their May with the renowned songwriter's shimmering showcase.
The upcoming album 'Canopy', along with its title track and lead single, is yet another collection of confessional and heartfelt songs, highlighting her critically acclaimed body of work. Woven with an uplifting theme of resilience and an end to longing, this album promises to serve as a symbol of hope and reassurance, embracing each listener it encounters.
