'The Iron Men' is a short film shot in Merseyside featuring Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' art display. Consisting of cast iron figures, the display was first exhibited in Germany during the late 1990's, before being moved to Crosby Beach in Merseyside during the early 2000's. Many local residents soon campaigned for their permanent installation, and they remain here almost two decades later. I based the film's on a poem I wrote during lockdown about the statues (known locally as 'The Iron Men'.
