Poetry Film exploring a woman's relationship with identity. It explores what it means to finally accept the person in the mirror and rather than strive to fit in spaces and places which aren't for you, to instead, create the path you want to walk towards.
MEET THE FILMMAKER
Anisa Butt, a versatile British Asian actress with a passion for storytelling and a diverse portfolio across theatre, film, and spoken word.
She recently finished starring in the sold-out PERMISSION on stage (for which she was also Executive Producer) and is known for her standout roles in acclaimed fringe productions like "Vitamin D," and “Welcome to the Jungle."
She has also made memorable appearances in film projects like Zoya Akhtar's "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" and Netflix’s "Brahman Naman."
Beyond acting, Anisa is a passionate advocate for inclusivity and kindness as well as amplifying underrepresented voices. As a finalist for BBC Leeds' "Words First" and a mentee with Story Compound and B3 Media, she pays her success forward, nurturing the next generation of creatives.
Her writing often explores themes of identity, belonging and self acceptance.
