LUNA Unpacks Her Upcoming Album 'No Rest' and Teases European 2025 Tour

Your latest single ‘Wild West’ is an electronic fusion of driving beats and compelling lyrics, evoking a profound commentary on the trials and triumphs of modern life. Do the lyrics draw inspiration from personal experiences?

Definitely. While “Wild West” captures universal struggles, it’s also deeply personal for me. The lyrics reflect moments of navigating uncertainty, facing big decisions, and embracing the adventure despite the risks. It’s like my own story woven into a larger commentary on what it feels like to live in a fast, intense world.

With its relatable concept, how do you hope ‘Wild West’ will resonate with listeners?

I hope it gives listeners a sense of courage and solidarity. “Wild West” speaks to the idea that, while life can feel overwhelming, we’re all on this journey together. I want it to inspire people to keep pushing forward and to embrace the unknown, even when things feel chaotic or uncertain.

Why is the title ‘Wild West’ significant, and what does it represent?

The “Wild West” symbolizes that sense of uncharted territory, the thrill and fear of stepping into something unknown. It represents both the chaos and freedom of navigating modern life, where so much feels unpredictable and yet full of possibility. I love how it captures the idea of resilience and courage in the face of a constantly shifting landscape.

You made waves with your debut album ‘Nocne Zmory,’ earning widespread acclaim for its dark, atmospheric production. How does your upcoming album 'No Rest’ differ from your previous work?

“No Rest” has a different energy—while “Nocne Zmory” was more introspective and haunting, “Wild West” is bold, forward-looking, and intense. It’s like the next chapter for me, where I’m exploring new sounds, more dynamic beats, and a vibe that feels urgent and alive.

If you could describe the sound of ‘No Rest’ in just three words, what would they be?

Fierce, liberating, electric.

You have a diverse background in violin, piano, and singing - how has this shaped your music today?

My background in violin and piano has given me a deep love for melody and rhythm, and I often approach electronic music with that same mindset. Playing instruments shaped my understanding of music as something emotional and expressive, which I try to bring into every track. My vocals are where I feel free to blend those influences together and create something that feels true to me.

How do you express yourself creatively?

Music is obviously my main outlet, but I also love exploring art, fashion, cinematography and even nature. Each of these brings something unique to my creativity. Sometimes, just spending time painting or exploring visual art can spark new ideas for songs or help me find a different perspective on a theme I’m working with.

You’re set to embark on your European tour in January 2025 - what do you love most about performing?

The connection with the audience is everything. There’s an energy in live performance that you can’t find anywhere else—seeing how people respond, sing along, or just feel the music with me. It’s an incredible feeling to share that moment with so many people at once.

Can fans expect anything surprising from these upcoming performances?

Absolutely! I want to make every show feel like an experience, so I’m starting working on new visuals, unexpected song arrangements, and a few surprises to keep each performance unique. I’m excited for fans to see a different side of the music live.

What are you working on next?

Right now, I’m diving into new music and exploring fresh ideas for my next project. I want to keep evolving my sound and pushing into new territory, so I’m really excited for what’s coming next. I can’t share too much yet, but there are definitely some exciting things on the horizon!
