Trinity College London have just released new free-to-access resources for their Musical Theatre exams, and they’re perfect for both current students and those who are thinking about diving into the qualification.
A key strength of Trinity’s Musical Theatre exams is the freedom of choice on offer when selecting repertoire for your exam, but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to have so many amazing pieces to choose from. These new resources can serve as a great starting point, with suggestions for solo exams at every grade, from Initial to Grade 8.
The wide-ranging suggestions are drawn from a variety of performances, including well-loved West End musicals such as Annie, Les Misérables and West Side Story; alongside more contemporary choices such as Matilda the musical, The Colour Purple and Everyone’s Talking about Jamie.
The resources provide practical suggestions for how the pieces can be performed as part of the exam, along with a range of top tips to help you feel fully prepared ‘on the day’, whether that be face-to-face with the examiner or a recorded submission for a digital exam.
To access the resources and start the planning on your own exam pieces, simply follow the link below and complete the form. You’ll then be taken to a page where you can download the various resource packs.
