Kris James pours his soul into his self-titled debut

If we think about it, artists take on a big responsibility by translating pain into something beautiful like music. People seek out other forms of expression to make it hurt less or soundtrack their favorite memories. Liverpool singer/songwriter Kris James takes his craft seriously and pours his soul into his debut self-titled album, where he uncovers the ins and outs of the first love experience.

This 10-track long serves as an introduction to Kris James as a solo artist. Therefore, he could tap into his most significant experiences and encounters. While maintaining the 'no filter' attitude, he lets all his frustration out in a therapeutic way. On tracks like 'I'll Be There,' James offers a helping hand to everyone who's going through it.

Throughout the entire record, Kris James maintains a level of vulnerability that will make everyone relate and sing their hearts out despite the tears that might be streaming down their faces. 'Unhappy Anniversary' is a prime example, as James does not hold back and probably delivers the most emotional song of his career.

One of the many great things about the album is the balance of dance anthems like 'Get Back To Love' and 'Naive' with the empowering 'I'll Be There' and tear-jerking 'One Last Picture.' Kris James left nothing in his heart vault and is ready to embark on new adventures.
