But because of this, we as artists invest so much of ourselves into our work and to show that to the world can make you feel exposed and vulnerable. It's often hard to trust your opinion, that what you're creating is of a high quality, and it takes guts to share that work with others.

The Sawyer Studies
18-year-old Noah Altshuler works as playwright-in-residence at the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Connecticut. An enormous Twain fan, the young writer has produced a set of three short plays based on the popular novel Tom Sawyer, published in 1876 and based largely on Twain's own youth.
